Lancôme Unveiled the Secrets of Skincare at the Taj Mahal Palace

For Immediate Release, Mumbai, December 13th, 2010:

Lancôme hosted an exclusive high-tea at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel on Monday afternoon in honor of Lancôme’s Scientific Director, Véronique Delvigne. On her first visit to India in over 20 years, Dr. Delvigne came to speak about the prestigious beauty group’s latest scientific innovations regarding the unique specificities of Indian skin and the products offered by Lancôme that are suitable for our local weather and living conditions. Her audience mainly comprised of a very knowledgeable group of top beauty media and experts. She is known around the world as being the last word in skincare and on Monday afternoon she proved why.

Speaking about Lancôme as a brand, Véronique Delvigne, Scientific Director, says, “In over 75 years Lancôme has acquired a unique expertise of skin, its mechanisms and specific needs. The result: in-depth understanding of all the typologies of skin, lips and lashes, cutting-edge knowledge in neuro-cosmetics, the science of interactions between stress and skin, and advanced understanding of cutaneous ageing, exclusive active ingredients, exceptionally sophisticated textures, sublimely subtle fragrances. Lancôme, the world leader in the selective anti-aging market, constantly affirms its ambition to respond to the needs of all women in every continent, to offer each woman a tailor made beauty routine at every stage of her life.”

The afternoon high-tea was broken into two—the first being an in-depth scientific presentation on Lancôme top product Génifique. A true phenomenon, Génifique distinguishes itself with its unique transforming texture and instantly visible results. A runaway hit since the launch, Génifique has already become a market leader across the world. Prompting this revolution in skincare, Lancôme’s Advanced Research laboratories studied the direct link between genes and their effect on skin quality, focusing on key indicators such as skin beauty, youth and age-related changes. Ten years of research and 7 patents later, Lancôme innovated with the very first skincare product to revive the activity of genes of youth; with Génifique Youth Activator, skin is visibly younger in just 7 days. Lancôme’s pioneering Advanced Research laboratories focused on two emerging scientific disciplines: genomics, which is the study of gene activity, and proteomics, the study of the proteins produced by skin's genes.

After allowing guests to sample Génifique, the talk shifted gears to make-up focusing on Lancôme’s latest breakthrough product Teint Miracle. Infused with skincare active ingredients, its texture intensely hydrates skin for 18 hours, leaving it instantly luscious and glowing. Day after day, this hydration reinforces Teint Miracle’s results: skin is smoothed, more able to reflect light and gains transparency to better reveal its inner light. Even after make-up removal. It includes SPF 15 for daily protection against ultra-violet rays. It is a dermatologically tested formula: suitable for all skin types, even sensitive.

The session concluded with a make-up demonstration of Teint Miracle on stage. Guests mingled with Veronique over fine desserts and scones until the early evening, discussing everything Lancôme and skincare related.
